Our Story

From a Belief Into a Movement

The Sangita Tapkir Social Foundation began not in an office, but in a conversation — about the children in Moshi who couldn't afford school bags, about the women in Kondhwa who had skills but no access to training, about the lanes in Pune that needed more green.

Registered in 2024 as a Section 8 company, STSF is built on a radical premise: that a foundation should cost nothing to run, so every rupee of donation can go entirely to the people it's meant to serve. Our founders bear all operational costs personally.

The driving force behind STSF. Girish founded the organisation with a conviction that every community deserves opportunity — not charity. He oversees operations, legal compliance, donor relations, and ensures 100% of funds reach programs.

Prashant co-founded STSF and leads community engagement and field operations. He coordinates volunteers, oversees program delivery on the ground, and builds lasting relationships with local communities across Pune.

Foundation Registered

STSF incorporated as a Section 8 company in Pune. CIN: U88900PN2024NPL227455. Zero operational overhead from day one.

First School Kit Drive

Distributed school kits to underprivileged children in Moshi and surrounding areas. First step in the Education pillar.

Jun 2024
12A & 80G Certifications

Obtained income tax exemption (12A) and donor tax deduction (80G) certifications from the Income Tax Department.

Project Laghu Wan Launched

Started our urban greening initiative — planting native saplings across Pune's residential neighbourhoods.

Project Saksham Begins

Launched computer literacy training for youth and women in partnership with local NGOs and colleges.
